1. Working
Together to Build a "Green" Dream Home - The
New American HomeŽ 2006 (Vol. 14/02): Situated on the shore of Windemere's Lake Burden in Orlando, Florida, The New American Home® 2006 defines "eco-friendly elegance." TNAH® 2006 became the first certified green home in the program's 23-year history for using environmentally sound construction materials and principles, including The Icynene Insulation System®.
2. American
Lung Association 'Health House' Promotes Tighter
Building for Better Indoor Air (Vol. 14/01): The builder and homeowner chose Icynene insulation to help create a healthier indoor environment by addressing possible sources of indoor pollution such as excessive moisture, the intrusion of outdoor allergens and pollutants, and harmful emissions produced by building products during construction. Icynene also helped them meet the requirements of building a 'Health House' (program of the American Lung Association).
3. From
Brown to Green (Vol. 13/02): A Brownfield Site Revitalized to LEED Green Building Standards.
4. A
Paradigm for Sustainable Healthcare Design: Rose
Cherry's Home (Vol. 13/01): Rose Cherry's Home for Kids is the only hospice and respite center in Ontario, Canada. Icynene® was key in achieving proper building design and preserving a sterile and healing environment for patients, families and staff.
5. Lean,
Clean and Green (Summerset, Vol. 12/03-B): A HERS score proved that the Icynene®-insulated custom home exceeded set performance standards by achieving superior energy efficiency and a healthier indoor environment, using less sealing material for a quicker construction process.
6. Transformation
of a 1950's Ranch House into an EarthCraft House? (EarthCraft,
Vol. 12/04): Icynene® was a cornerstone in this cost-effective remodeling project. The key elements in this feature home were to improve indoor air quality and increase energy efficiency.
7. Energy
Efficient Remodel of a Heritage Home (Wilmington,
Vol. 12/02): Icynene® enabled the homeowners to take advantage of HVAC rightsizing in order to maximize energy savings. Icynene® also sealed the building envelope to reduce condensation and moisture-related problems (i.e. mold growth), airborne street noise, and improve indoor air quality.
8. The
New American HomeŽ 2003 - Part 1 (TNAH, Vol.
12/01): Icynene® was instrumental in delivering energy efficient construction in three high profile homes at the 2003 International Builders' Show. Icynene® had to meet Building America's energy efficiency guideline of HERS 90 and provide homeowners with an airtight building envelope, ensuring better indoor air quality.
9. Mold
Remediation in a Crawlspace Renovation (The Village
at Fox Point, Vol. 10/04): Icynene® was used to increase energy efficiency by 29% and to help remediate an existing condensation-related mold growth problem.
10. Cathedral
Ceiling Insulation Retrofit (Grindstone Point,
Manitoba, Vol. 10/01): This project showcased Icynene®'s cost savings when compared to fiberglass. Icynene® was also selected to help correct a mold and mildew problem by removing the fiberglass and retrofitting with Icynene®.
11. Commercial
Building Insulation - Condensation Control with
IcyneneŽ (Boulineau''s, Vol. 11/01): As the most cost-effective and least-disruptive solution, Icynene® improved energy efficiency and solved condensation problems in a South Carolina grocery store.
12. Commercial
Building Insulation: Multiple Savings With IcyneneŽ (American
Outfitters, Vol. 11/02): This project highlights how Icynene® resulted in initial savings of equipment costs (air-sealing the building envelope for HVAC rightsizing) and ongoing savings of energy costs.
13. Insulating
A Metal Building for Air Sealing/Energy Efficiency
(University of Florida, Vol. 10/03): Icynene® delivered energy efficiency in extreme temperature conditions in a metal structure. The University was able to reduce their HVAC costs by installing Icynene®.
14. Insulating
Poultry Houses for Airsealing / Energy Efficiency
(Georgia Broiler Houses, Vol. 10/02): Icynene® reduced air leakage to save money with lower energy costs and maintain a consistent indoor ambient temperature.
