The work done spraying the foam was satisfactory even though I will need to buy cans of spray foam to seal a basement area that was to be done by the crew. The misunderstandings around the final costs, inability to complete the job as estimated.

Gene started out great, working with me to assure I understood the work to be done, how it would be done, and how the estimate came about. We spent a good deal of time reviewing the worksite, discussing what could be done, including looking at access points for work under a kitchen floor. Gene confirmed that it could be done asking me to remove pipes that would block access, stating the team could get in if done. Then I learned that the access was not going to work and then finally that the work couldn't be done fully because of other conditions which I assumed were known given the extent of Gene's investigation of the worksite. When I saw the charges for demo work, Gene and I discussed if I could do the work. Gene explained exactly what needed to be done, and I did that, only to learn that additional work was needed. You can read our email exchanges to understand what went south after that. Gene is very good at what he does, but we had a miss on this job that still has not been recognized. Mike from Dr. Energy was also very good with performing the audit site visits and helping to secure all of the state funding for the insulation work available, but I needed to ask twice to get the blower-door test information needed to help size my new heating system.

I only saw the final product and never met the crew knowing I was not to be on site when the work was done. Except for the noted miss in the basement I need to fix, some turn personal property that no one said would be in the way, and a destroyed front lawn (don't know why my driveway was not used) I am pleased with the work.

Everything was left as expected except for repairing my lawn.
