This contractor was referred to us by another builder we work with regularly. He needed his new construction project insulated before the slab was poured, and he wanted the job done right the first time warm floors, long‑term efficiency, zero headaches. There was just one challenge: The site sat at the top of treacherous, extremely steep hills that most rigs wouldn’t dare climb.
Once our trucks and spray rigs reached the site, our crew got to work applying R‑30, 4" Closed Cell Spray Foam directly onto the compacted granular fill. This created a high‑performance thermal barrier beneath the slab, locking in comfort and preventing heat loss for decades to come.
The contractor couldn’t have been happier. The project was completed ahead of schedule, the application looked flawless, and the home is now set up for warm, comfortable floors year‑round without the added cost of radiant heating or cooling systems.

this homeowner first reached out because his radon levels were still dangerously high, even after installing two mitigation systems from another contractor. Something wasn’t adding up. When our team inspected the space, we uncovered the full picture: Not only was radon still entering the home, but water was also seeping up through the floor, especially in the corners where the wall and floor meet. Two problems. One vulnerable foundation. And a family counting on us to get it right.
The Challenge: A Monolithic Foundation
Because the home was built on a monolithic foundation, we couldn’t use a standard waterproofing approach. Cutting into the wall‑floor joint would risk the structural integrity of the entire slab. So we turned to our dual‑stage waterproofing system engineered specifically for situations where precision matters more than brute force.
The Fix: Protecting the Structure While Solving the Problem
1. Waterproofing Without Compromise
This system keeps the foundation strong while keeping the basement dry.
2. Radon Sealed Out for Good
With the water issue under control, we addressed the radon problem at its source. We applied three inches of closed‑cell spray foam across the crawl space floor and sealed the rim joist—creating a continuous, airtight barrier that prevents radon from entering the home.
The Result: Safety, Comfort, and Peace of Mind
Today, this homeowner can finally rest easy. No more water intrusion. No more radon infiltration. Just a safe, protected home where his familyand especially his grandkids can breathe easy and enjoy the space without worry. They couldn’t be happier with how the project turned out, and the peace of mind that came with it is priceless.
After acquiring the multi-family home, the new owners made the bold decision to completely renovate it from the ground up. They embarked on a comprehensive overhaul that involved framing, wiring, and various other tasks. Once these crucial initial steps were completed, they enlisted the services of Foamco for insulation installation, a pivotal aspect of their investment property enhancement.
Our project commenced by meticulously clearing the area of all debris. Following this, we strategically placed plastic barriers on the ground, around mechanical components, and windows to ensure that no spray foam would inadvertently reach these sensitive areas. With the groundwork set, our insulation process began with a focus on the roof.
Having established the necessary preparation, our expert team expertly applied a substantial 12" layer of Open Cell Foam to the underside of the roof. This application yielded an impressive R-value of 49, greatly enhancing the energy efficiency of the structure. Progressing from the roof, we extended our insulation efforts to the exterior walls, targeting the space between the third-floor ceiling and the roof. Here, we skillfully added a 5.5" layer of Open Cell Foam, resulting in an R-value of 22.
The outcome of this project is not only a testament to the owners' commitment to comprehensive renovation but also a strategic investment in the property's future. With these renovations in place, the property is primed for rental, boasting improved energy efficiency that translates to lower utility costs. Moreover, the home's occupants will enjoy a heightened level of comfort. These meticulous improvements position the property as an attractive option in the rental market while ensuring a sustainable, cost-effective operation.
This client contacted Foamco on a Friday night as he needed an emergency spray foam installation of 4.25 closed-Cell insulation installed over the weekend before it became warm. We ended up insulating the roof of his 4600 sqft barn, which he is in the process of building. He contacted us to get the job done for him due to our reputation of being the biggest spray foam company with a reputation of being able to get the job done effectively and efficiently.
After he had contacted us on Friday evening we accommodated him and set him up with a scheduled installation day of Sunday, January 12th. Unfortunately due to the rainy weather that day we were unable to apply the closed-Cell insulation to the roof. As soon as we realized that we were not going to be able to apply the closed cell insulation to his barn roof on Sunday we coordinated logistics with him to reschedule his installation date to the next day, Monday, January 13th. Even though we had to push his installation date back a day we were still able to take care of him how we wanted to, specifically by sending four rigs, which all installers had an average of 15 years with the company. Due to everyone's experience of installation, we were able to get the project done in one day.
Once we completed the project the client let us know how pleased he was with everything from his first contact with us, to the completion of the project. He was so pleased with everything that he even let us know that when he is ready to insulate the walls of his barn he will be giving us a call.
